Misc: Wear
Since I first saw the Rome Collection from Closet Core Patterns, I knew I had to make the entire collection. which I have, this dress is my second one, made in a viscose fabric I bought at Ohlssons tyger.
I have made a few adjustments as I always have to make, it is, forward shoulder adjustment with 3/4″, 2 cm, full bust adjustment with 1″, 2,5cm, round neck adjustment with 3/8″, 1 cm and a small sway back adjustment with 3/4″, 2 cm. The dress is also lengthened with 2 3/8″, 6 cm, which make the dress a knee length on me, I’m 5,54 ft/169 cm tall.
With this dress I only used the puff sleeve and added an elastic cuff band, I made a bias binding as I’m not very fond of the facing and the sewing stitches around the neckline. The dress has no pockets, an other thing I’m not very keen on and with this viscose fabric I think it put to much weight on the side seams.
I like the simplicity of the dress and the nice small yoke at the back.
